 J. C. Dye - - J.C. Dye Sculpture



J. C. Dye has been completing his brilliant "real to life" sculptures for over a quarter of a century. J. C. 's personal view of fine art is portrayed in his following statement: "To create fine art, you must first have natural talent.

Secondly, you must teach yourself to see. Then, with solid drawings, you must learn the anatomy of the figure you are going to sculpt and incorporate the proper design. These principles will give you a very good chance of ending up with a fine work of art."

J .C. has also started a knew endeavor in his art. He has attended two of Scott Christensen oil painting work shops and will be attending another one in the spring of 2003. he also has taken a number of painting workshops form the Scottsdale Artists' School.

In Summary , the above principles in conjunction with his life as a rancher, working cowboy, and outdoors man has given J. C. the knowledge and inspiration to create sculptures capturing the raw spirit of Earth's most breathtaking and gratifying creatures.
